The Sudanese Community in Darwin is still mourning the loss of a five year old boy who drowned at a water park. Unfortunately, this is another person from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background to add to Australia's drowning statistics. The Aqua English Project has been shouting solutions to the increase in CALD drowning statistics for over six years now....how many more deaths before the government decides to listen?
