Locations

Gold Coast:

(1) The Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, Marine Parade Southport QLD 4215: This is where both The Aussie Lifeguard for a Day and the Aussie Beach Passport progras start. The centre boasts four heated swimming pools, incuding a 50 metre Olympic Pool, 33 metre Dive Pool, 25 Metre Pool and an indoor heated pool. Both programs operate form the indoor pool, 25 metre pool and the 33 metre dive pool. We are also able to conduct "rip deomstrations" form this centre. All pools are heated between 27 and 34 degrees celcius, and the centre has lockers, changeroom facilities and hot showers. A classroom and childcare area is also available.

(2) The Broadwater Parklands Saltwater Lagoon (Reuben Pellerman Reserve), Marine Parade, Southport QLD 4215: This is the next step for The Aussie Lifeguard for a Day, The Aussie Beach Passport and S'women. The saltwater lagoon offers students the opportunity to experience the differences between pools and other outdoor aquatic environments before heading to the waves on the beach.

(3) Main Beach, Seaworld Drive, Southport QLD 4215: Operating from the flagged area in front of the Main Beach Surf Life Saving Club, this is the final location for all three Aqua English Programs. It gives students the opportunity to put their newly acquired water and communicative English skills to the test in the beach environment.

(4) Yacht Street Swim Centre, 27 Yacht Street Southport QLD 4215: This indoor heated swimming pool is utilised for the S'women program as it offers privacy for up to twenty participants per session. Facilties include changerooms and hot showers, as well as a childcare and classroom area.

Brisbane:

(1) Yeronga Park Heated Swimming Complex, 51 School Road Yeronga QLD. Both The Aussie Lifeguard for a Day and S'women programs operate from this location. We utilise the indoor heated pool as well as the 50 metre outdoor swimming pool. A childcare and classroom area is also available for out programs.

(2) Nursery Road State Special School - Indoor Hydrotherapy Pool, 49 Nursery Road, Holland Park QLD 4121:This pool area is currently utilised by women participating in the S'women: Swimming for Women of all Cultures program. It has changeroom and hot shower facilities as well as a childcare/children's play area.

(3) Hibiscus Sports Complex Indoor Heated Pool, 90 Klumpp Rd, Mt Gravatt QLD 4122: This pool is utilised by women participating in The Aussie Lifeguard for a Day and S'women Programs. It has changeroom, hot shower and childcare facilties available.

(4) Chermside Splash Leisure Centre Indoor Heated Pool, Chermside Aquatic Centre 375 Hamilton Rd. This pool is utilised by women participating in The Aussie Lifeguard for a Day and S'women Programs. Changeroom and hot shower facilties are available.
